Case Cracking Competition

About the event

Case Cracking is a new event from Ennova, the biggest student association at Esade.

In short, it’s a dive-into-consulting competition when founders of existing startups introduce their real-time cases that were formed from challenges that founders have.

Our participants (Esade students) will come up with solutions and present them at the end of the event.

Those, who present the best solution, will get special prizes including unpaid internships in startups that introduce cases.

The event will be managed under the support of Dawn Advisory – Consulting Organization on the Esade Campus. During the event, there will be also one special speaker – an expert from the top consulting firm.

Working in Teams

  • We will form teams of 4-5 people
  • Each team can work only on one case. After the founders present them, teams will put cases on a priority scale. Each team will be assigned to a case that matches the team’s priorities. Each case has three teams who will work on it.
  • There will be two winning teams – one for each case.

Prizes

  • Opportunity to win an internship at Cafler and Talentfy

  • Recommendation letter from Cafler or Talentfy

Internships

  • There’s no guarantee that every member of the winning team will get an internship. However, it’s possible.
  • After the founder chooses winning teams and based on many factors, the founders will decide which team members will get an internship.
  • The type of internship will depend on the preferences of both sides (for example, for a 2nd year bachelor’s student, a summer online internship would be the best option, and for the 3rd year it might not be the case). For the founders, everything is also different. So, during the process of selecting the person from the team, the founders will also try to choose a candidate with aligned preferences.
  • Internships will be unpaid.

Schedule

We’ll conduct the event on the 30th of September

The plan:

  1. 10:00: Warm welcome
  2. 10:15 : Ennova + Dawn Introductions
  3. 11:30 : Cases are presented
  4. 12:00: Catering and case solving
 
  • After the event, participants will be given time until the 6th of October (Friday) to finish solving the case. They’re required to record the video explaining the solution with the presentation. And then send both the video and the presentation. The Ennova team will forward everything to the founder of both Cafler and Talentfy.
  • The winners will be announced before the 13th of Octobe
