ABOUT THE EVENT
Renowned for its academic excellence and for shaping future leaders, for the 2024/25 academic year Esade is launching a collaboration with the prestigious University of Hong Kong to create a new exclusive event: Talent Exchange!
The exclusivity of the Esade x HKU exchange lies in the quality and preparation of both our speakers and the students attending the event, where thirty-seven Esade students will get to network, solve challenges and participate in a day full of activities with thirty-seven Hong Kong students from the International Business and Global Management (IBGM) program.

Bear in mind that that this event only has 37 spots and that the first arrived is the first served. Second and third year students are preferred (most first years have midterms).
Once the number of submissions reach the maximum, applicants will receive an email confirming their selection.

2024 – HKU x Esade Event
Thanks to the 2024 Talent Exchange, for the first time Ennova gathered 37 Hong Kong students, followed by their university staff, and nearly as many Esade students to engage in a mutual understanding of the startup ecosystems of Hong Kong and Barcelona.
At the heart of Talent Exchange lied a thorough presentation held by Hong Kong students which deep dived in a 360 degrees analysis of the Hong Kong market for start-ups in terms of Strategic Location, Economic Structure, Laws and Regulations, Case Studies, Funding and Financing, Business Culture, and Sustainability.
For what concerns Barcelona’s thriving ecosystem, professor Martì Guasch zoomed into the city’s ecosystem by comparing it to the other European and Spanish innovation hubs. Moreover, two market- breaking start-ups answered our call. Code Sherpas, dedicated to open innovation, driving digital transformation and business growth, and Libre Foods, an R&D-driven biotech startup making groundbreaking advancements in fungi-based proteins. Not only they presented us their story and current situation, but they also proposed us a case to help them thrive in the struggles they were facing.
How can a structure be designed to foster long-term client engagement and vision alignment? What innovative solutions can enhance the marketing and manufacturing strategies of a high-cost start-up?
These are some of the questions our participants had to answer towards the end of a day full of enriching activities. Esade students merged with Hong Kong students to create teams, solve problems together, learn from each other and make meaningful connections.
